Do I need a TCP if I am only blocking the footpath?
Yes. Footpaths are considered part of the road reserve. If you are obstructing pedestrian access, you must have a Traffic Control Plan to manage pedestrian safety and provide alternative routes.
How long does it take to get a Traffic Control Plan designed?
Simple plans can often be produced quickly, but we recommend allowing several days for the design and review process. The subsequent council or ROL approval can take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days.
Can I use the same TCP for multiple locations?
Generally, no. Every site has unique variables such as bus stops, intersections, speed limits and sightlines. A Traffic Control Plan must be site-specific.
Do you provide the traffic controllers?
No. We specialise in design, drafting and permit consultancy. We provide the paperwork you need to start work, but we do not provide on-site staff or equipment hire.
